The Mystery of The Renaissance Masquerade Ball

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

You cant cheat death, the red death will find you!

I am so excited that I am working on a awesome installment on the Renaissance Masquerade Ball. I loved the beautiful dresses that date back to the 15th century and how the ball was it was mysterious, glamorous and gruesome. People of all different societies could dress up and disguise themselves hiding the mystery of who they were. It was mysterious because anything could happen, but concealed. I have loved the intricacy of the costumes that were worn from the decorations of the mask to the beautiful dresses. During my research Edgar Allen Poe had created a short story called "The Masque of the Red Death" that was based on a masquerade ball where the mysterious figure turned to be someone's doom. Whose doom you may ask? Click the link and read for yourself. I love reading Edgar Allen Poe's story's. His stories are the spookiest that get you hooked. The first story I read growing up...well everyone has read it, was the Monkey's Paw. I think I couldn't sleep for weeks because I kept thinking about that paw and how everything unfolded...HAHA! Stay tuned to see the installment and behind the scenes and getting to know the characters.

I love costumes and seeing people in them to tell a story.
